THE TERRITORY

In Alta Gallura, next the village of Aglientu, a new reality is emerging with an ambitious objective: to create an innovative wine project that is, however, much more than a simple winery. This area is characterized by great biodiversity, where the wind blows strong among the granite rocks; it is a zone of great strength and energy, but also of enveloping tranquility.

PEOPLE
A n a n c i e n t k n o w - h o w
Viticulture in Sardinia is an ancient art, practiced since the Iron Age and appreciated by the Phoenicians who traded locally produced wines. This expertise has been perfected across more than 150 native varieties and passed down with great pride from generation to generation.
A tradition that is fundamental to our project.
The name Lisignori derives from Lieu dit “Lu Signori”, the name given to the granite hill that overlooks the territory and surrounding lands where the vines have been planted. A name that indicates how the hill dominates the surrounding territory with a 360-degree view of Asinara, Corsica, the Straits with the Archipelago and the interior of the island.

A name that indicates how the hill dominates the surrounding territory with a 360-degree view of Asinara, Corsica, the Straits with the Archipelago and the interior of the island.
Furthermore, a name that, as passed down by locals, reflects the landowner of the area who over the centuries had distinguished himself for wealth and productive capacity.
The Stazzu situated in this territory, one of the largest and most imposing on the entire island, is further evidence of this. On the property there are still examples of “Lu Rotu”, archaeological remains of imposing granite structures that the farmers of the area could use, thanks to the concession of the “Lord”, to transform their cereals. An infrastructure that few could afford and that testifies to the will to “create a system”, an ambition shared by the current owners.

MELAIU
Isola Dei Nuraghi SYRAH 2024
Indicazione Geografica Tipica
This wine is the result of a rigorous selection of our Syrah grapes, capable of expressing its best characteristics in these granite and schist soils. A short passage in French barriques adds complexity and structure while maintaining the typical freshness of our wines. We dedicate this limited selection to Bastiano “Melaiu”, mindful of the passion for this territory that he has been able to convey to us.
